Housing Estates – PTT Radio
Professional 2 Way Radios are used in most Housing Estates for operations management – two way radio group communications, to enable the team to work as a team efficiently. Two Way Radios are important parts of an excellent operation of the estate.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The Problem – PTT Radio Coverage across the Housing Estate
Some of the Housing Estates are very large, both in height and area. This unfortunately means many PTT Radio customers have to accept there are areas without radio coverage, or, alternatively, add additional DMR Radio repeaters.
DMR Repeaters are in their own right expensive, but you also need to add costs for design, setup, programming, installation, maintenance and upgrades. Add to that software licenses, internet connections, OFCOM licenses, power etc. and you can end up with a very expensive solution.
Or you currently have a DMR Radio system, but you haven’t got GPS tracking of the radios (and therefore team members). Adding GPS to the radios is expensive as is the software which enables professional two way radio communications and live GPS tracking in the Control Room. Before you know it, your CAPEX + OPEX is going to have to increase…..
Or you accept there are flaws in the 2 way radio system…
The Solution – PTT Radios from iPTT
With Nationwide coverage using all 4 mobile networks available in the UK (EE, O2, Three and Vodafone) on our Multi Network SIMs, we cover 97% of the UK. With the iPTT P500 we can add WiFi, giving you additional two way radio coverage wherever your WiFi is available. Adding a WiFi node is an inexpensive operation and you might benefit in more ways than just for PTT Radios.
With PTT over Cellular from iPTT, there are no CAPEX costs apart from the hand portable or mobile radios. To use the radios (and PTT Radio Apps), you need 2 things:
- An active internet connection. WiFi or Mobile Network Connection (SIM)
- User License – covers connections to the server as well as support
It’s all included on us
These benefits and features come as standard (included with the user license):
- GPS is standard for our dispatcher, apps and PTT radios.
- Live and historical tracks on Google Maps come as standard.
- Call logs are standard, too. And you can easily select last call from the dispatcher, should you have missed it.
- And the P500 has the capability to repeat last call (should you have missed it).
- In addition to that you also get dynamic groups, group calls, two way radio calls, late entry, over the air programming (OTAP), geofencing, stun and much more
User Licenses are priced very competitively – and we only have one price. If you use it with our full fledged windows dispatcher, on your Android or iOS smartphone or in a radio – it’s the same price! We don’t offer you a discount to join, but free changes to the system and full access to support, should you have any issues or need any help.
If you want to add video to a Body Worn Camera (BWC), iOS, Android or the Windows Dispatcher that’s one license per user.
You can select our Multi Network SIM and get 97% coverage or bring your own SIM.
Nice and Simple
Simple and predictable Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), ensuring you know exactly what’s being paid for what. We have 3 elements – the PTT Radio (CAPEX), the annual User Licenses and Multi Network SIMs (or BYO SIM).
If you want to use your smartphone using the PTT Radio App, all you need in addition to your smartphone with a SIM card, is a user license. If you want to use your smartphone hands free, we recommend the bluetooth remote speaker mike (BT RSM). You can find more information about the Apps for Android and iOS by clicking here.
You can see the BT RSM, by clicking here.
That’s it!
